A broader outsourcing partner can help connect processes, but a wide service menu is not a delivery plan. Start by understanding the work, the risks and the decisions that must remain with your organisation.
Map a real workflow
Choose a recurring process and follow one item from request to completion. Record the inputs, approvals, systems, exceptions and final output. Ask where work waits and why. A delay caused by missing client approval needs a different response from a shortage of processing capacity.
Define a manageable first scope
Select work with a clear boundary and enough examples to explain what good looks like. Document access, data handling, required competence and the accepting reviewer. Compare a dedicated resource, defined project or modular service against the actual workload rather than the label alone.
Agree evidence before expansion
Set review measures that show quality, not just activity. Track rework, unresolved exceptions and the usefulness of handovers. Confirm who owns specialist, financial or regulated decisions. Expand only when the first scope demonstrates a working operating rhythm and the next phase has its own responsibilities and acceptance criteria.
